Sweet and Spicy Orange Barbeque Sauce

Inspired by a recipe from Guy Fieri, this updated version has quickly become one of our favorite condiments. Unlike store bought brands that are often too sweet, this recipe balances sweetness with orange juice concentrate and the warm flavors of ginger, allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon found in our Little Bottles THE JERK Caribbean Spice Blend. With a few simple ingredients, you can make this sweet and spicy orange barbeque sauce in under 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 cup ketchup

1/4 cup molasses

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup frozen orange juice concentrate

2 tablespoon Little Bottles The Jerk Spice Blend

2 tablespoons orange marmalade

4 teaspoons yellow mustard

4 teaspoons worchestershire sauce

2 teaspoons honey

1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a medium sauce pan and bring to a slow simmer. Partially cover sauce pan or stir the sauce slowly, for about 10 minutes to combine the flavors. Let cool.

Notes:

Barbecue sauce can be used as a marinade, a condiment, or topping for most any roasted meat, including pork, beef, and chicken. Barbeque sauce is also an excellent ingredient mixed in with your favorite meat loaf recipe or used as a topping.
