This recipe creates a slightly firm meatloaf that is flavorful and is a good option for many meal ideas. The meatloaf is topped off with a harissa glaze we created using our The Rojo harissa spice blend. Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound ground beef
3/4 cup rolled oats, pulsed into a fine meal
1/2 onion, fine dice or grated
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon The Original spice blend
1 tablespoon Worchester sauce
2 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/2 cup whole milk
2 teaspoons sea salt
1/3 cup Ketchup
1 tablespoon The Rojo harissa spice blend
1 teaspoon lemon juice
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, oatmeal, onion, garlic, Worchester sauce, parsley, milk, and salt. Gently combine then place in a loaf pan or baking dish.
In a separate bowl, combine ketchup, The Rojo spice blend, and lemon juice. Brush 1/2 on meatloaf to start and remaining amount halfway through the cooking process.
Bake 45 minutes to an hour until internal temperatures reaches 160 degrees.
Let meatloaf rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve.
